Christmas Advert Post Production

A lot of our adverts post production was handled by our Editor, Bailey Gamble. We had obviously talked over with him our vision for the ad and he had spoken with us about the shots we should use. Based upon our work with him so far, we trusted him to edit the video and I must say he did a fantastic job.

Another aspect of the ad that was very important came in post production and that was the music we would use. The music score behind the ad is very important it adds emotion and depth to an ad that doesn't contain any speaking parts. In order to accomplish this we looked at the traditional songs one would find at Christmas from 'A Christmas Song' to 'Silent Night'. In the end we chose a cover of 'Silent Night' by Boyce Avenue. We chose this version of the song as we felt it could allow our audience to feel the emotions behind our advert. The slow pacing allows one to feel both sad and hopeful. As well as this the cover sound much like the original and from our guts we just knew it fit well with what we wanted to do.
