John Lewis Christmas Advert 2015 #ManOnTheMoon
One of the first Christmas Adverts I looked at was the 2015 John Lewis Christmas Advert. In this there is a old man alone on the moon, a young child sees said man and tries to get a Christmas present to him. This Advert is very famous and was well received at the time due to its larger message of looking after those in the community who are alone. This Ad truly moved the public and this is something I like the idea of for my own Advert. The group I am in looked at our own ideas and decided to make sure our own Advert had a meaning behind it, which seems to be the goal in most of John Lewis’ Christmas Adverts.
The ad’s strapline is: “Show someone they’re loved this Christmas”, which echoes Age UK’s own campaign: “No one should have no one at Christmas”.
