For those of us looking to play ‘Mickey’ in our upcoming production of ‘Blood Brothers’ today we were asked to look at our audition monologues and perform them in front of Kelly and the rest of the class. I was extremely nervous before I got up to do this, yet it wasn’t as bad as I usually feel before an audition. It was a great idea to do this as it allows me to grow used to performing audition pieces in front of an audience and allowed me to feel less nervous for the actual audition. I believe nerves have held a great deal of importance in my previous auditions this year and have held me back from performing to the best of my ability.
